ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC.
First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.
Founded in 1906 at Cornell University
Since 1920, Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has worked to uplift African-Americans in Atlanta through social, civic, and legal action. It was in Atlanta where Brother Sydney P. Brown penned the poetic words “Goodwill is the monarch of this house” in the poem “House of Alpha.” Eta lambda has served as one of the most powerful forces in Atlanta’s growth and development. The chapter’s participation in our nationally mandated programs such as “Go to High School, Go to College”, “A Voteless People is A Hopeless People”, and “Project Alpha” have helped the masses within the Atlanta community. Alpha brothers of Eta Lambda have been involved in every aspect of the business, social, civic, and educational development of Atlanta. Eta Lambda continues its legacy by fostering relationships with its three mentee chapters: Alpha Rho (Morehouse), Alpha Phi (Clark Atlanta), and Zeta Mu (Georgia State). With over 95 years of service, the chapter is poised to raise the bar by continuing its tradition of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind.
